BOBBY DAVIS TO SEEK GOP NOMINATION FOR S.C. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 20

February 26, 2018

GREENVILLE, SC – Thirty-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran and educator Bobby Davis announced Friday that he will seek the GOP nomination for S.C. House of Representatives District 20.

“I am running to bring a strong, conservative Christian backbone to Columbia – a representative to push out public corruption and serve no one but our God and our people. I am proud of the economic growth and prosperity we have seen in South Carolina and will continue to fight for smart tax reform. Money deserves to stay in the pockets of hard-working South Carolinians.

An active member of the South Carolina Republican Party, Davis served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for 30 years before retiring at the rank of Colonel. He served for 26 years as teacher, coach and athletic director in the South Carolina public school system. Davis currently serves as chairman of the Appellate Board of the South Carolina High School League for the 4th Congressional District.

“The foundation of our communities is held by the education of our youth. I will fight for education reform to support our teachers and bring more money into the classrooms to provide the best quality education to our children.”

A graduate of Bob Jones and Southern Wesleyan Universities, Davis continued to receive his Master of Arts and Education Specialist degrees from Clemson University. Long-time native of Greenville, Davis is married to the former Kathy Shelton of 42 years. They are active members of Heritage Bible Church.
